Tokyo – Odaiba 2

Tokyo – Odaiba 2

あけましておめでとう! (=akemashite omedetou). Happy New Year to you. And who thought: “Shit, he’s still alive”. Well, I can’t and don’t want to change it. I’m rather locked up in the laboratory, so that I don’t have time for new things and besides that, I have done for myself the holiday stress at home in Germany over Christmas and New Year. It was stressful, but necessary after more than one and a half years here in the (for us) Far East.
But now to the actual contribution, I was now for the second time in Tokyo, Odaiba.

This time not to see the Gundam (giant combat robot), but to visit the world’s first light museum. The whole exhibition is based only on light and projections. They can also react to the visitor. Some projections also wander along entire corridors. It was quite impressive, but unfortunately also a little confusing. There are few signposts and because of the nature of the exhibition everything is dark and also has an angled structure. At some point I understood the rough structure, but at least I didn’t find the café. I do think so for the rest. In the following some pictures are simply uncommented.

Since I was already once again in Odaiba, I looked around a little more. On the one hand I was again on a Ferris wheel, so that I could shoot some nice pictures of the surroundings.

There is also a small replica of the Liberty Statue and I could watch the sunset on the beach. (Also there is a small menu again, to compare prices)

Here is the view from my hotel room, which was not in Odaiba, but in a neighbouring district. The next day I returned home with the Shinkansen.
