Shizuoka – At the sea and a little adventure

Umi desu yo. The sea. Today I finally managed to go to the sea. From the distance I could see it, but I wasn’t there yet. I wanted to make up for that. The weather was pleasant, but swimming was forbidden. It was obvious, as the waves were quite strong against the coast.

My blog will probably soon just because of lack of time slowly begin to report less new things. Since I also have to be active on Saturday, I miss the time for further major trips, but I have not seen much in Shizuoka, but I will probably not show too much “double”. But here, among other things, are still two more mountains that I will explore, and a lot of things I certainly do not know yet.

After the beach I went home, but took a stroll to a foothill from one of the mountains.

And here began my little “adventure” for today. According to my map, a road led to a plateau, but also to another, which becomse a path at the end. I wanted to take a look.

On the way there was also a quite worn-out steel staircase, which I had to climb, but nothing seemed to be above, so I did not risk climb any further.

The road was really only a small path, which I then followed. At some times I had very little space to walk, on the left it was steep up the mountain, right 5 meters into the depth.

Then the path somehow lost itself. That the path existed was clear, becauset there was a scooter at the beginning of the path and the owner was not visible. So I crawled myself through the covert where it was possible and climbed the mountain. The path I haven’t found, but at least I had already heard voices and found quite a few golf balls …
Again, a look at my map showed me that I had somehow completely lost the path, but I don’t know how to follow the path on the map due to the geographic enviroment. But the map now showed me also that the plateau was a golf course. Great, I had for a golf course crawling (not quite harmless) through the covert, my (exaggerated) dream being a small Indiana Jones was thus totally burst.
Because of frustration, because I was not crawling through the covert with the right equipment and I also didn’t want to be hit by another lost golf ball, I went back.

On the way home I then continue along the mountain and I am among others I also saw again dormitories for university staff (white row house with the number). But what you shouldn’t forget about the pictures, I am still in Shizuoka, a big city with nearly three times as many inhabitants as Braunschweig and with a almost seven times larger area. In Japan one is very keen to leave the nature, even if infrastructure / houses are built, it doesn’tt look as distant or separated as in Germany. But what exactly is the reason for this and how it is achieved is far from my understanding, I’m just able to notice it.

Well, maybe I will try to find the path again in the winter when it is hopefully less green and the danger of golf balls sinking? And if not, according to my map there are probably more such paths on the mountain, let’s see how correct they are … ..
